This Robert Randolph guy
This Robert Randolph guy
Ok, I have seen that this guy has come on and jammed with the band for a couple of tunes, but what I want to know is who is he and what does he play, instrument wise? Not sure if I am going to see them this year and they come in less than two weeks, but maybe. Anyways, juts want to know about this Randolph guy. Thanks

Robert Randolph and the Family Band. They are fucking sick if your one of those people who dig crazy mad talented jams that turns into complete orgasmic music spontaneously!

There's been so many threads that I've been on the verge of making to help answer a question of mine, but at the last minute I decide to google, and I find the answer I'm looking for.

ok im not bashing robert randolph, because i think hes amazing and i have seen him live and i love rrfb....
but
am i the only one who feels like all of his riffs (just as like a solo intro to LB or whatever when he plays with the band) have the same feel? i dont mean it like "allman brothers" style riffs, i mean a very similar sounding riff that he seems to come back to ALL the time? anyone else notice this?

I'm not sure about a particular riff, but I think I know what you're talking about, and I've felt that way about just about any steel or slide guitar.i am sam2 wrote:ok im not bashing robert randolph, because i think hes amazing and i have seen him live and i love rrfb....

God, I hope all the openers contribute to dave's music in the same way RR did.
