Is Butch touring with the Band? On the set list they don't have any footnotes saying he is playing with them so i didn't know if he was there or if they were just coonsidering him part of the band now. (disclaimer: i would not consider any additions as member)

Also, for anyone who has been to a show so far, what do they do for Out of My Hands? Do they wheel out a piano for Dave to play or what?

No worries dude, Butch is touring with the band, like he has been for the past 6 years. He plays the piano on Out Of My Hands, as well as all the other new songs. He also does a mean moog effect on Hunger and the crazy deep voice for the beginning of Stand Up. Check the shows on http://www.dmbalmanac.com. He is listed under personel.

Are you joking me? Butch says "its somewhere between sex and being saved?" on live versions?

No, he just has a virginia accent. Besides, on Charlie Rose he does an impression when they interview him and the band so that is not totally his real voice.

Can't you hear him talk at the end of the Gorge DVD and he has a perfectly normal voice?

I have seen that security cam shot of the bands dressing room before they take the stage and it is hard to tell when butch is the one speaking.

Butch has a normal voice, he talked for a little bit on those wal-mart clips promoting Stand Up.

i don't know why i don't like butch. i like the band because they have soo many different instruments and they play together soo well but when they added a piano i just didn't like it. i think it's cause the sound of a piano is so solid that it kind of over-powers the strenth of the rest of the band. you can't hear dave's guitar when butch is pounding at those keys.
i'm not saying i don't like butch, i just don't like the way it makes me feel when i hear the piano in dave's songs.

Does it make you feel kinda funny? Like when you used to climb the rope in gym class?
