3/29 D+T show in Boone, NC
anyone go? I had 2 tickets ...was packed to go and found out friday night at 11:30 that 250 bucks from the warehouse came out for the summer shows I'd picked...that left 8 bucks in my account...so I couldn't go....anyone want to tell me what I missed?
Neon shines through smoky eyes tonight
It's 2 am - I'm drunk again it's heavy on my mind...
...Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don't need to think

Hell of a lot. It was awesome the crowd was pretty good nothin to brag about. Anyways the set was great with great dave speak talking about the blue man group being aliens and getting caught on fire and getting knives thrown at him. Tim reynolds making the songs 10 times better. And dave bringin out Stay OR LEAVE which could be my new favorite song! All the other songs were great though #41 with the everyday outro and crush was one of the best songs the whole night. You could have heard a pin drop during Cry Freedom and Long Black Veil. Two Step was great along with Warehouse who would have thought that as the third song. But before Cry freedom a great quote from dave something like "The two things you need to do are be hopeful and say what you think". Bottom line great show.

Oh man, Boone was beyond amazing!
I was also at Wintson-Salem the night before and though the crowd was 10x better at W-S, I would have to say Boone was 10x the show. My biggest excitement of the evening? Before I go into the set all I can say is two words - Tim Reynolds. For some reason he's been pretty mellow the entire tour but Saturday night he really unleashed himself. He really made these songs shine like I haven't heard yet on this tour and it was very refreshing.
As for the setlist, the highlight of my night was the Blue Water Baboon into Lie In Our Graves. To say that they merely teased Blue Water is a sad understatement in that they played at least two or three solid verses - I never thought that song would come back. And what better way then to segue it into one of the best D&T songs you could ask for?
I was also pumped to hear Grey Street, Drive In Drive Out, When The World Ends, Warehouse, Christmas Song, and the new Stay or Leave. If you haven't listend to Stay or Leave yet, find it, and listen now! I was glad they mixed the set up a lot from 3/28 to 3/29 - I couldn't have asked for a better pair of shows!
The Davespeak was great and we got to meet Dave and Tim briefly before the show. We also stayed awhile after the show but, due to the freezing temperatures, Dave stayed very briefly.
We were seriously considering following them to Miami for tomorrow night's show - what an experience!

The Show
For me LIOG was the song of the evening. The whole show was pimp though. Utterly awsome!
