yeah i def. agree. I like dream girl the most. It sounds the most 'Davish' out of all of them.

It's all new tho, i'm sure the songs will grow on us - its just scary hearing completely new stuff that doesn't sound like our old dave.

Right now I'm really liking Dreamgirl too, its putting a smile on my face for some reason. Your right this is a big departure from anything they have done in the past, but these clips are all growing on me already.

I really like "wake up" and "Dream girl"

I don't want to say the rest of them are bad. they talk so much about this album being for them, what they felt like playing. Some of the songs like stand up sounds like it would be a lot more fun to play than to listen to, if that makes any sense. But I think these will grow on me, so add those to the ones I already like and I think it will be a good album.

Thanks for the mp3 links.

Just wanted to add, I think the thing that makes them seem different is that before the songs all seemed to have a jam and you didn't quite know where the song was going to go or what they would jam out, but you were excited to find out. Some of these seem a little more bland and predictable. This does not make them bad, but it does make them different than before. I am sure others will have different opinions.

It seems like the producer made a conscious effort to highlight everyone in the band besides carter, probably because he's so dominant on all the other albums. This one sounds like it's gonna be a lot like Some Devil.

Dream Girl, Smooth Rider, Stand Up (that beginning beat), Wake Up all great, I like Old Dirt Hill but not as much as those first 4, Out of my Hands was my least favorite but not bad by any means. I cant wait to hear them in their entirety, as well as the rest of the songs and the ones that didnt make the cut on tour. I agree with the Some Devil sound but I think its more upbeat and lively, SD was kind of calm, sorrowful at times. I dont know, I like what I hear.
