Song with the most alternating lyrics???

Unread post by billywestom » Wed Mar 19, 2003 12:18 am

I was looking at this site ( http://dmbalmanac.com or http://www.justdmb.com ), which I had never realized existed until recently (it's a cool site!), and I noticed that there is a section with some different versions of songs that Dave sings. I wasn't surprised that "Say Goodbye" seems to have the most alternate vocals. You can see it here:

**So I am asking what you all think are some other songs that Dave usually improvises a lot on as far as lyrics...
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

raven too, although dave doesn't seem to like that song much...

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

I cant remember what show it is but I know I have a cd (Dave and Tim I think) where before playing Say Goodbye Dave says something along the lines of, "I can never seem to remember the words to this song so Its different everytime I play it" Or something like that. I might look for it and edit my post with the real quote. Anyone ever heard that though?

Raven used to be the ultimate. That song is a shadow of its former self now. I used to really enjoy hearing new and different lyrics to every grey st, but that stopped with the release of BS as well. :(

Gonna have to agree with #40

it sounds to me like you're talking about storytellers actually. i believe it's something like, "the words are always changing, 'cause I am always forgetting them..." what's so hard about the lyrics to remember??? :D
