Best Version of Bartender

Unread post by GSR » Mon Jan 17, 2005 11:16 pm

I'm burning a cd of my kinda music for my friend, and he's doing the same for me. He's joe-catholic so i'm gonna use bartender for the dmb tune, but i need to know which version you guys think would be the best. Folsom Feild has the incredibly powerful outro/yelling, but the cp bonus disc has a pretty good yell outro too. on the other hand, Folsom Feild is a little dated (not a big factor actually), but CP bonus disc has the butch solo, and i don't want him to see that as boring or too long. hrmmmm. oh and its gonna be a live version.

I honestly dont like bartender very much. I prefer DDTW if you are going with that style of a tune.

hrmm, thanks for your input even though its not your favorite tune check.

I think i'm gonna put Joyride (ggp) as track 1, then bartender as the last track, everything else'll be ndmb. he knows i'm the biggest davehead ever, so it'll be cool. plus he'll like the bobblehead jesus".

Bartender is one of my all time favorite dmb tunes. I play it a lot on my guitar. I actualy prefer bartender solo 6 string acoustic. I adore the version he does at Austin City Limits.

If you want a better song about religon that really is moving, do Spoon.

I'm the same way, I love bartender and Austin isn't the best, I like my 5-5-03 dvd, its the most powerful version, that and folsom are powerful.
