Guys..where the red fern grows was from a while ago.. dave is recently coming in a movie"Because of Winn Dixie" I was told where the red fern grows ran out of funding and will never be released

Wow..apparently it's coming out in december.. funding get reissued or something?That seems like it's gonna be really good

Um, this movie was made years ago. He plays the father in the movie. Dave even broke (or sprained) his ankel on the set. There are quite a few posts in this thread about this movie. While trying to finish the movie and such, mix it, edit it, they ran out of money. So it was shelved. I believe over a year ago, it was pickup by another company. It was shown at a film festivle last year. Now it will be on video soon.

The one where Butterfly will be on is Because of Winn Dixie. That he is an owner of a shop.

Also, Dave did a few plays back in C'ville before the band. He was said to be awesome, and stole the show, no matter how big or small his part. The one most known is the Raggs of Ragtime. Also, people always speculated if Jane mentioned about his acting days when he would sing lines about stages, and other bits. Dave still says it was just words he through together.

Also, listen to the commentary on SMTS's music video, the guy said that Dave would be an awesome actor if he did some work.

it just got funding again. It is gonna be released, just not in theaters

it just got funding again. It is gonna be released, just not in theaters

I will definetly buy or rent this..probably rent and maybe a buy depending on how good it is

dave acting isnt weird, hes been acting longer than he was playing music publicly. he was actually pretty big in the charlottesville theatre scene until you, know DMB.
