Everyday the worst album?

Unread post by borocks » Tue Feb 25, 2003 11:45 am

I've just bought the Everyday album and I must say it's really the worst of the Dave cd's I have. The Live albums are all good and the older stuff as well. My favourite is Under the table and dreaming. I think Dave lost creativity over the time. Most of my favourite songs are old ones...
What's do you think about that?

I think Everyday is a great album. Personally, I don't like R2T that much. BTCS is probably my favorite.

gotta love mother father
Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dreams of Our Fathers.

Off of Everyday:
So Right: absolutely beautiful. I love it when the bari just screams on the opening of the chorus
I Did It: ok song. Not my favorite
When the World Ends: sweet sweet song. I have a little problem with some of the content though
The Space Between: great melody, and a really cool bridge in terms of the chord progression. Again, the roar of the bari on the verses is impossible not to love
Sleep to Dream Her: one of the most brilliant gems on this cd. Original and very very very smooth
What You Are: one of Dave's best, if not his very best really rock and roll song. The grind of the bari on the bridge is one of the absolutely SWEETEST moments in any of Dave's songs. I get chills every time I hear it. Simple and absolutely STUNNING.
Angel: ok. nothing spectacular
Dreams of Our Fathers: I love this song. Great opening lick. Again, the bari is beautiful, and some great lyrics
Everyday: fun and full of life. I REALLY like it.
Mother Father: it's not my favorite, but I hardly think it deserves the bashing it gets.
If I Had It All: a good song, but not of the same caliber as, say, What You Are
Fool To Think: fun lick; a chorus that shimmers thanks to Carter's phenomenal drum work.

Best Songs:
Sleep to Dream Her
What You Are
So Right
The Space Between
Everyday
Fool To Think

Good Songs
When the World Ends (this would rank higher if I didn't mind some of the lyrics)
Dreams Of Our Fathers

Ok Songs:
Angel
If I Had It All

Blah Songs:
I Did It
Mother Father

it wouldn't fit in with his "only be dave" lifestyle....he can only live where the covers can be posted....
