DMB live vs....

Unread post by kmwagne » Fri Sep 03, 2004 10:40 am

I have seen this band enough times to know that Pearl Jam blows them out of the water when it comes to live performances. No offense to DMB but their not even in the same league.

Korn was good live, not better than DMB, but they were good.

Get over it people, DMB isn't the best live band in the world. I nearly fall asleep at some points during a show.

Could that be because of extra curricular activities? :D There is a good reason why their one of the highest grossing bands as far as ticket sales go but yet get so little recognition from the grammies, rolling stone, etc, their live shows are phenomenal.

i disagree - they don't get more grammys and mag covers because they're unique, not the typical whiny band these days that people like

I'm not saying they aren't a good live band, they are a great live band. But nowhere near the best. They just don't have the same level of energy as some rock bands. Although playing at huge ampitheaters takes away from the show IMO.

That is what I was saying, they DO NOT get recognition from the grammies or rolling stone, and a lot of so called critics don't get them. I agree that crappy bands get the grammy's and recognition

You're insane if you think a PJ concert tops a DMB Concert..dmb's energy is amazing and just gets the whole crowd going.. PJ, in my opinion, lacks that connection with the crowd that dmb naturally has.. Just my opinion

the only thing for me at a DMB show is that sometimes he can take a great song like Two Step and make it into a 20 min version

that part kinda bothers me, but either way, DMB is great live and one of the best

Also, he and Tim is amazing live, if you haven;t seen a show yet, you gotta if one comes around
