FRONT ROW!!

Unread post by jeffro » Sun Jul 25, 2004 3:41 pm

Hey all, I just got back from the Charlotte show and I must say that it was sweet! The whole bad was into it and rockin! Best show that I've been two out of five. Hello Again was outstanding! Here's the set:

Don’t Drink the Water
Don’t Burn The Pig
One Sweet World
Warehouse
Crazy Easy
Joy Ride
Lie In Our Graves
When The World Ends
Drive In Drive Out
The Stone
Hello Again
Jimi Thing
So Much To Say
Sugar Will
Too Much

The best part was getting to sit on the front row! See, I went with my dad (he's a big dave fan too, so going to DMB shows together is kind of a tradition) and we had our section 8 tickets which is about where we sit every year. So we showed up early this year and my Dad decided to see if we could find a way into some better seats. So he finds this scalper who was selling front row tickets and trades our tickets and some cash for the front row seats! I'm not sure what it is about Charlotte but for some reason the boys always do a great high energy show! Too bad ther's noise curfew (thus the one song encore) but it was still awesome.

That's awesome. Glad you get to enjoy DMB with your dad. I'm trying to get my dad into it.

Funny story... my parents went to last year's show with me and they were all pumped 'cause they love Dave, too. Anyways, I go to watch the opening act and they refuse to go into the concert. "We're too old! We feel weird about being here!" Blah blah blah, they come into the concert at like 9 when its dark so "no one will notice they arent 'in the young crowd'" Ironic thing is that I sat behind two 70 year old people in bathing suits doing a strange dance (weed was involved, Im sure, lol), so they wouldn't have been the oldest or strangest people there. hahaha

Next year, when I'm in the Warehouse, I'm going to try to get close to the front row. This year, I wasn't very close, but I wasn't pavilion or lawn, so they weren't shitty. I was in the 32 row I believe, and we could actually see their faces while watching the stage. We could make them out, so yeah. It wasn't too bad.
