Oh The Gorge
Oh The Gorge
Ok, this is just my opinion so don't kill me if you disagree. I was excitied to purchase The Gorge when it came out but after listening to a few songs, I was a little disapointed in the live cd. It just doesn't have good sound quality and the songs just didn't sound as good on that particular cd. But I loved Central Park, Red Rocks, and Folsom Field. Does anyone agree with me on The Gorge?

The sound quality isn't "up to par" because the acoustics of the Gorge prevent the sound from being anything special. I thought they were great versions of the songs, though.

I'm a bit peeved they did not include any of the grace is gones. That song is friggin gorgeous live.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

actually, the 6 CD set has 3 versions of GIG...
anyways, the sound quality is indeed somewhat below the likes of L@LC, but I still think that most of the songs are great... especially the version of Pig, that one song is worth the entire 6 cd box...
By the way, any of you guys have a clue as to why I had to pay tax on that package? i paid like 50$ for the 6-CD box set + t-shirt, but when it reached me here in Denmark, i had to pay another 20$ in taxes? is that as usual Denmarks fault, or is it on the other end of the supply chain the faults lies?
Anyways, im satisfied with it.
EDIT: Actually, the "Seek Up" on it is waaaaaay too long.
