I can't tell if you're serious or not. I'm going to assume you are. They announced the release date when they announced the tour. And they've got, what, about 3 years of material not including anything they've written in the studio that we haven't heard. And they'll have had a solid 3 months or so in the studio plus whatever preliminary studio work they did between the end of the tour and the holidays. Seems like plenty of time to me.jsgksu wrote:When did they let people know the release date? This is news to me. Seems kind of rushed, how much quality studio time have they gotten in?

I'm pretty out of the DMB loop honestly. I didnt know the album had a release date and I assumed the last 3 years of live stuff wasn't either confirmed or likely to be on the album since Stand Up was pretty much all new stuff. And I guess I also didn't know how long they'd been in the studio, I thought they hadn't got much time in and weren't really sitting down and going at it until recently.littlefriend wrote:I can't tell if you're serious or not. Re: Re:
I get the official e-mails so that's the reason I knew about the release date. The rest is almost entirely speculation on my part, but it makes sense. They haven't had much of a fall, winter or even really a spring tour in a couple, three years, haven't released any new studio stuff since Stand Up, and with no shows since the end of October or until the album drops it seems like plenty of time, even if they did start from scratch.jsgksu wrote:I'm pretty out of the DMB loop honestly.
