There's many sounds I couldnt get on the old verison that you can hear on these. The bongos on busted stuff sound amazing, even digging a ditch totally changed my mind of what that song had potential to be. I still prefer the Raven on BS though , lyrics are much better

I thought I was alone on that thought, seems like everyone prefers all the LWS to BS...personally I think BS has a better grey street, bartender and raven

Man the Lillywhite Sessions has got to be the best shit DMB ever did, they never should have scrapped it, it pwns Busted Stuff so hard. Busted Stuff is such a groovy tune with the electric guitar in there.
DMB shows attended: 4/12/05 - Molson Amphitheater, 9/12/06 @ Air Canada Centre.
Upcoming: DMB June 9th 2009 @ Molson Amphitheater

I listened to them last night. These recordings are the best studio songs done by DMB. While the mixing is really good, a LIVE performance vibe is given off in these recordings. This is probably the last time they recorded while playing together vs. isolated recordings. [Everyday, Stand Up]

Remember when Dave played a song and he said, "This is the first time I've played this song" Im not sure what song it was but he was referring to playing and singing it at the same time in front of people"

I just drove an hour out to school and I listened to this all the way through. What an experience. I know its almost sacri-religious to say this because they are unfinished and because BTCS is so out of this world, but there is just something about these songs that makes it my favorite work of theirs. And now with the remastering its better than ever.

I love the remastered ones. As I said before it's almost like falling in love with DMB all over again.

i still wouldnt go as far to say this is better than BTCS, but if this was released right after BTCS then it would have put the band in legend status for sure, imagine those first 4 albums without any eyes sores in the songs, pure magic.
