Lucky bastard. Was it for busted?
I think Check is just high cuz I sure as hell don't remember that.
he went to that MTV thing for Everyday at times square didn't he? maybe thats what he was talking about
That was more luck then being acknowledged by the band I believe. Because I remember Kanter was trying to slip a note to Dave to tell him to check out the site.

"american baby" lyrics
by conspiersacy on 7:04 PM 03-14-05
apparently "american baby" will be released on aol music tomorrow, and i was lucky enough to have the lyrics sent to me by a friend. here they are, if you can't wait another day ;).

if these walls came crumblin' down
fell so hard to make us lose our faith
from what's left you'd figure it out
????? make lemonade taste like a summer day

stay, beautiful baby
i hope you
stay, american baby
american baby

nobody's laughing now
god's grace lost and the devil is proud
but i've been walking for a thousand miles
one last time i could see you smile

i (i) hold (hold) on (on) to you
you bring me hope i'll see you soon
and if i don't see you
i'm afraid we've lost the way

stay, beautiful baby
i hope you
stay, american baby
american baby

i (i) hold (hold) on (on) to you
you lift me up and always will
i see you in life
hope i don't get left behind

i (i) hold (hold) on (on) to you
you bring me hope i'll see you soon
and if i don't see you
i'm afraid we've lost the way

stay, beautiful baby
i hope you
stay, american baby
i hope you
stay, beautiful baby
i hope you
stay, american baby
american baby

I'm still skeptical. I agree with Wormann. Sorry to be like that, but shit...I hope I have to put my foot in my mouth. :(

EDIT: Whoever said this will be better than BTCS needs to send me some of that high grade crack you've got your hands on. :)

You don't know how long I hesitated. I seriously stopped for a minute to consider the backlash.

American Baby
The listening party started off with what is arguably the most DMB-like song on the album. This tune captures a combo of Hip Hop percussion with an intricate Boyd violin-picking riff, and takes a leap into the ranks of Best of What's Around. Although this song boasts the new DMB sound an image, it captures the feeling of "Togetherness" that has been a part of the DMB community for many years... and as Dave beckons us to "Stay American Baby", a roaring chorus and a two-track-dubbed Leroi solo rockets the song into DMB bliss. With a huge jam-finish, the first single will undoubtedly leave fans drooling for more. This song will hit radio stations friday.
Did he hear the same song I just listened to? The drums are so weak it's sickening. Was that really Carter, or was it the "Demo" button on the keyboard?

Yeah but that was hardly a "roaring chorus." And Carter's drumming has been the backbone of the band since the beginning, and what he plays on this song is worse than anything that he played on Everyday, so it is hardly "DMB-like".

I think he meant the chorus only "roars" when Leroi comes in that one time (which we havent heard) but I could be wrong.
