Did you get seats both nights? I got best available, and I have a feeling I got one night of seats, one night of lawn. Which blows, because after 14 dmb shows, I can't really enjoy the lawn. Plus I haven't ever gotten floor or particularly close seats, either.
i requested one night in Hartord, reserved seating only, not best available, because i can't do the lawn at hartford anymore...it BLOWS. ive done the lawn like 5 years in a row there and i really can't stand it anymore.

i also requested reserved seating at the Bristow, Virgina show. nissan pavillion at stone ridge or somethign? haha it was a random pick.

warehouse hasn't confirmed yet, but my credit card has :o

and the closest i ever got was 8th row at the gorge, and i was pretty damn close at the amsterdam show

I've been soo lazy on burning dave shows, i've just been saving them and sucking up my virtual memory. Spent the whole day burning, labelling and fileing dmb shows. I'm a bit dmb, d+t and d+f'ed out for the day. But whichever radio webcast that plays dmb tunes on sundays is playing "sunshine on my shoulders" and i'm feeling pretty stoned as well :D
I'm up to 1,324 shows now. I need to snap a photo of my massive shelf of dmb shows.
Does anyone even like dmb anymore, i feel like the only one.

I do. but I've listening to a mass of showtunes lately, not as many dave songs.

maybe I should write a jukebox musical using dmb songs....

nope, I forgot that I hate jukebox musicals with all my being.

There are soo many "better" ways to save and collect dmb shows. With a dvd burner you can save the shn's and flac's as data and fit nearly a whole tour or more on one disc. Or, you could externally hard-drive all the shows in there original form(not wav.) I've never had a dvd burner or external hard-drive and so i've, since about 98' been torrenting the shows, decoding to wav., not mp3(ever) and burning every single one. I have over 3,000 cd's total, all stored on the 100 blank cd spindles that i purchased them on. One day i'll case them all show by show and print out album artwork and setlists for each show. My own version of the dmb vault.
How many shows would you say you have alpine?

see i made the mistake of putting all of my shows in mp3 format simply because i don't have room for all the flac/shn files. i just don't know how to store all of the huge files. so right now i have roughly 150 shows. not nearly as many as 1300. (i thought i had a lot) i just dont know what to do anymore with storing such huge files. and that raises my next problem. how do i store all of the lossy mp3 shows that i have????

Lossy mp3 dmb shows, that's a big no no right?
I'd just burn them and keep them as your own, i'm a firm believer in upkeeping the request to not share lossy mp3 shows(complete shows). And if you still want to collect dmb shows then i'd look into an external hard-drive(or two) or burning the flac and shn's as data on a dvd disc.
Otherwise, you'll be in my situation where all of my shows are in hard copy and i'm constantly worried about a fire or having to move all these discs in a short amount of time. I think i'm going to get them insured through my home-owners policy if i can i then i might just get a fire-proof safe to store them in. Although i'd really like to have a wall of dmb shows both cased and labelled.

i definitely do not share them with others once they are converted, i converted them to all mp3 so i could listen to them. i just never had room to keep the huge files. what would you say, burn them to discs or check out an external hard drive??
how big is you collection (file size wise) would you say??

Shit man, thats a math figure. I don't have any shows that aren't already converted to wav. A single show in wav. format is on average about 1.5-2.0GB. Given the amount of shows i have, w/ the wav. format in consideration i'd say i have atleast 2500GB. Or i could be completely wrong.
Anyway, if data-to-dvd burning is not an option then i'd go for external hard-drive. Either way, if you wanted to hear a show you'd have to convert it. Unless it was in flac. then you could just use winamp to listen to it. But you'd still have convert it to wav. if you wanted to put it on a cd.
If i were you i'd have started collecting a long time ago. I probably won't be hard-core sharing my shows for atleast another year of collecting. I'd like to gets as many as possible before i start diverting my time to sharing.

I do have a DVD burner, how many shows do you think I could fit on a DVD (flac/shn format). Why do you convert them to wav and then burn them? Isn't wav lossy?

I'm pretty sure that wav. is not lossy, only mp3 format. I would burn them in shn.or flac. but it always takes up more space then a wav. show, which is really weird. If i have a show that i've converted to wav., i can fit it on two 80min. discs. It always takes me atleast three or sometimes four discs keeping them in their original format.
I'm way behind in computer tech. though. I'm still using musicmatch and sometimes nero to burn. I wish i'd have just used nero the whole time cause you can burn an audio and data disc on the same disc and that way i'd still have all the original text files.
Alright man, i've got a 10 mile hike planned for tomorrow and i need to hit the sack so hopefully we can talk more later. Peace out.

Tim Reynolds reminds me of Bill from Kill Bill. Not so much the way he looks, but way more in the way he talks, with that lisp thing going on.

the official warehouse confirmations go out thursday. i think the emails said two days prior to the public sale date, which is this saturday.

i think i'm going to hartford with my buddies this year. mainly as an excuse to party and i'm sure we'll have lawn seats.
