So last night i listened to it while laying in bed, lights off, just trying to relax and fall asleep.

Some new feelings on the cd.

It makes sense now why Joy Ride and others didn't make the cd. It didnt follow the "theme" or style of the album. Great songs, Yes. But they didnt have that feel, and I appreciate that they didnt just throw on songs that they thought would be hits, they are smart musicians, im sure it was obvious to them that this album wasnt full of singles, it was just an album that gave them a chance to follow a new feel and sound.

If you stop looking for those Dave guitar lines and boyd energy, etc... this is actually an AMAZING album. I suggest just chilling and listening to it all the way through while in bed or on the couch relaxing. The album is a great composition as a whole. I dunno, just an idea

I love the entire album minus one part. Carter's singing on ODH. I mean, what were they thinking? Ugh, its so bad.

I don't mind Carter's singing on ODH, i actually like that song a lot. A lot of the songs are starting to grow on me more and more, like everybody wake up, smooth rider, and stolen away. After watching the dvd part last night for the first time, it gave me a whole new feel for the cd.

i agree.

but, they need to get on tour and get some live versions out. this album doesn't have much staying power, i'm already kinda bored with it.

listened to it about 5 times yesterday, this album is fucking great. There just isnt that energy you wanted, but the composition to a lot of the songs is beyond anythign they've ever done. I think this album could atract a much older DMB fan to the group.

I now officially really like the album. Ive never thought it was bad, not at all but now i really think it a class act. Ive even grown to really like Stand Up. Only song im not so keen on is Stolen Away.

On a whole i think its a great album. I mean, Dream Girl - Class act! How can you not tap your foot to Wake Up, Stand Up ODH and LB?

On the DVD Dave said "this album might not be where the fans wanted the band to go, but they will grow to love the songs"

That Just Happened!

:D

i guess its just a more mature sound. but a good one none the less.
And i still really think this album is better without Joyride, i dont think it matched the feel of the album at all. It will make one hell of a great tour song, dont need it on an album,.

I think it is much more mature. well, towards the end of the cd more so. I'm talking tempo, instruments, melodies, etc...

not bagging on BTCS, i dunno, its jsut my personal opinion and i am MUCH less musically inclined and knowledgable than 99% of you guys, so take it for what its worth :D
