music of the night would be bad. as in bad. i have a feel dave can't hit all the notes in that song. i mean mr. butler couldn't do it either. he started singing out of the back of his throat.paulaitchison wrote:for shits and giggles "devil went down to georgia"

I don't get it. Are you correcting me?bassman462 wrote:you mean playing eletric guitar, with a solo(s) through dylan's arrangement.dmbandummer wrote:I'd love to see them have Timmy or Trey guest on All Along the Watchtower -
Hendrix's arrangement.
It was implied that Tim or Trey would be on electric guitar, and I was referring to Hendrix, not Dylan. Clearly stated.

i think he was saying that dylan and hendrix were basicly playing it the same, just one on electric (i mean hendrix's backing band, obviously jimi then took it away)dmbandummer wrote:I don't get it. I guess that I think it's still arranged differently. I know that they sometimes played the same chords, but not always (Hendrix's band & Dylan). Dave, however doesn't play the same arrangement. Same chords, yes, but arranged differently.paulaitchison wrote:i think he was saying that dylan and hendrix were basicly playing it the same, just one on electric (i mean hendrix's backing band, obviously jimi then took it away)dmbandummer wrote:I don't get it. Whatever. It would be cool if they played it the other way.

i think dave definately improved upon the song when he changed it.
best version of watchtower I have ever heard was Dave & Tim with John Popper.
