DMB Winter Tour Dates announced
Especially when Dave said this has been the most fun year in reference to touring. He really likes playing those songs... I guess I would too. Who wants to play So Much to Say 100 times a year, after year, after year, after yearNitro1515 wrote:Don't get your hopes up for this tour. It probably won't differ very much from the summer. They are still promoting the album and by the time they start a 3rd single so while I'm sure they will toss a couple new things into the mix, it will still largely be SU material.

Yeah I can understand not wanting to play the same stuff over and over, but it just bothers me that they have like 15 or so ideas sitting on a shelf somewhere from the SU sessions that we will probably never hear. Hopefully I'm wrong and they break out one or two during the winter.jellyfish wrote:Especially when Dave said this has been the most fun year in reference to touring. In due time.. Im sure some will make the next album? I actually dont really care anymore. I spent too much time, energy, & money on DMB in the past ten years to the point where I dont give a shit anymore. I'll still buy the albums, attend one or two shows a year but will never be obsessed with them as I once was. It kind of feels good.Nitro1515 wrote:Yeah I can understand not wanting to play the same stuff over and over, but it just bothers me that they have like 15 or so ideas sitting on a shelf somewhere from the SU sessions that we will probably never hear. Unfortunately I don't think they will make the next album. Dave said he wants to go in the studio completely barefoot, without any ideas at all and start fresh. That comment gives me no hope for a good CD because it means no road-testing which in turn means another shitty tour like this past one where you have to wait until the end for a solid show with fully developed songs.jellyfish wrote:In due time.. They raod tested Joy Ride, Sugar Will, and a few others that didin't make the cut? I really don't like their approach either but of well...Im not in the band to help with the creative process.Nitro1515 wrote:Unfortunately I don't think they will make the next album. I personally wouldn't mind if it was like the summer tour. As mentioned earlier, chances are they won't be playing 9-10 Stand Up songs a night. Plus, I saw three shows this year real early in the tour, and didn't get a chance to see what would become 05 tour trademarks, #34, Say Goodbye, You Never Know, Bartender, and American Baby Intro. If they are busting these out this winter, I'll be more than pleased.Nitro1515 wrote:Don't get your hopes up for this tour. It probably won't differ very much from the summer. How did Bartender become a 2005 trademark?DMBassist52 wrote:I personally wouldn't mind if it was like the summer tour. Yeah that wasn't really an 05 trademark, but a song they played a decent bit that I would like to see.jellyfish wrote:How did Bartender become a 2005 trademark?DMBassist52 wrote:I personally wouldn't mind if it was like the summer tour.
