I think part of the reason everyone loves the LWS so much is because it's like we were never supposed to have it. Had it made it all the way through the process and been released conventionally I doubt it would ever have reached the "cult" following that it has.

No way. Those songs are some of the most powerful songs they have ever recorded and if it had gone through with no problems like a normal CD it would have ranked right up there with BTCS, maybe even surpassed it with full finished production.

yes. still right there with BTCS. but there is something appealing about them, something...mysterious

i dont look into songs as deeply as a lot of you...so i dont really say i love this song because its deep or because dave had emotion...i like the song cuz it sounds good to me and i like listening...in that regard, i dont think there is that much that is as special about LWS. in my opinion, its just another good dmb album (everything before everyday, not including everyday)....

a few songs from LWS are just amazing and i wish they had stayed (SUAD and JTR) but i dont think that captain is unbelievably good...

and i do agree with hcole in that the fact that LWS is so mysterious is a subconcious thing that makes people.

all this is just my opinion. and frankly...live dmb blows everything out of the water
