well you see the only people who can truly go acoustic in the show are dave and stefan. carter, yeah bongos, but if theyre doin the new stand up stuff what ive heard it wouldnt work too well, either electronic, or loops, or cymbol work, but live who knows? stefans got some cool acoustics, might happen, dave will prolly do acoustics, but i look for him to play the godin or t5 this summer. boyd, he does electric violin mostly, but thers not much of a difference since hell be in a mixer anyway, and leroi will still do sax, but im all for an acoustic set.

I don't know if you know this, but (almost) every professional musician that plays "acoustic" shows plays through some sort of preamp or mixer.

uh no fucking shit. i said that because he can play electric or acoustic violin, no sound or tune difference, acostic guitar and bass have different feels, not violin, so if you can read it says it really doesnt matter what he plays itll sound the same.

...anger...

But seriously having Stefan play a double bass would be hardcore.

I think Bass guitar and double bass are basically the same. Just one has frets another doesnt, and then the way you hold it and the shape and what not.

I could be wrong.
