Ok you tried to defend your other two, but there is no way you mean Pig is not a favorite. Oh well, to each his/her own...lyrics101 wrote:I can't stand either of those songs. The Last Stop gets really annoying and ends way before the sound actually stops, if you know what I mean. Dave just sounds like shit on Say Goodbye, and the rhythm of his vocals during the verse bugs the hell out of me.Coldchillin23222 wrote:lyrics101 wrote:The Last Stop, Say Goodbye
Are we doing Top 3? Add Pig to my list.

I like the "Don't burn the day away" portion, but it's not worth sitting through the rest of a rather bland and mediocre song to get down.Coldchillin23222 wrote:Ok you tried to defend your other two, but there is no way you mean Pig is not a favorite. I don't know how I can 'defend' not like something. I simply don't enjoy the sound I hear entering my ears. It causes me to switch songs.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
not a big fan of Crash , the only time i like it is sometimes when it's with tim
overall i'll have to agree with..
Lover lay down - so repetative, and eh
Digg'n a ditch - too slow, the LWS version is ok
Say goodbye - i like the first 30 seconds
Let you down - not a bad song, just never liked it
i used to absolutely hate proudest monkey. but the version from the Gorge '02 got me hooked on it.
used to hate Cry Freedom until i heard it solo acousitc in Hartford 3 years ago. now i like it a lot
then there are a lot of songs that i like, they're just over played. like satellite, WAYG

still CAN"T believe someone said the Last Stop. I can honestly say that it is my "favorite" song of all time, and I mean that. Someone said Satellite as well, it wasn't that played out, and everyone I know loves that song. Crash was played out but is still a great song, I love Let You Down and wish they would play it more. Just my opinions, don't want to start any arguments. Listen to the Last Stop on Worcester, it is the most incredible closing song, so much adreneline, and when Carter counts out 1..2..3..4 and then you can hear that Egyptian chord progression, it just gives me chills.

Wow. Yeah, it's crazy the differences in taste. Pig was one of the first songs I dug as I was getting into the band. I kept asking "What is this song?" freshly and innocently each time, cuz I liked it and didn't realize I kept loving the same song over and over. My girl friend finally said, "What do YOU think it is?" "Uh, Pig?" "Yes! Good job!" WAYG is NOT amazing or whatever. Bland, bland, dull song.
And Raven, Captain and Cry Freedom are a few of my all time favs. It hurts to hear them mentioned in such negative light. Rhyme & Reason, too? Ouch. I fuckin' love that song.
I can't tolerate Stay in any form. Satellite is only tolerable as an exercise, and WAYG has been SO played out for me, though I do enjoy playing it every now and then.

But some of these responses are ridiculous- I really don't know if I've listened to Proudest Monkey all the way through. to each his own I guess

I have two and I know one of these is going to bring a lot of hate. Jimi Thing and Loving Wings. I have been into dave for a long time and love his music, but something about jimi things reminds me of hippies. Now, I am not saying hippies are bad, but I worked hard in college so I could land a nice accounting job, which puts me about as far away from hippies as you can get. As for loving wings, I think it is just boring, drags on forever. Something like that should be a 20 second interlude.
