Or else I may lose all faith

Nah I actually don't think Stand Up is that bad, especially the live version. Hated most of Everyday though.

But I really need another BTCS-quality record to boost my faith in DMB again.

I feel the same way. Listening to bits of Everyday again recently, I see it at about the same level of quality as Stand Up.

for me the quality on everyday is much better than SU. Songs like SB, WTWE, SR, Everyday, FTT, IIHIA, WYA versus Dreamgirl, LB, Hello Again (great live, bad on SU), AB...everyday wins

I never thought I would be saying this but yes, Everyday is actually better than something. At least with ED the songs are written by Dave and his guitar parts and there are a few nice lyrics on the album. Stand Up is just awful, there is not one song on there that I ever feel compelled to go and listen to.

Well, I'll agree to that for the most part. If it were a live version of Hello Again, I'd definatly go listen to it again.

Well yeah but to me Hello Again is part of those 5 summer '04 songs not Stand Up

WHo are we kidding? Stand Up is garbage. "I would dig a hole alll the way to China..." are you kidding me? Garbage and nothing more. I was excited at first because it was new Dave but then I came to my senses. DMB should just break up allready so Dave can put out more bomb ass solo records a la Some Devil and I can go back to seeing Boyd Tinsley Band shows.

I enjoy Hello Again, but like everyone knows it was butchered to shit on SU. AB, ABI, LB and maybe dreamgirl...maybe b/c of the terrible lyrics, otherwise a decent melody. Carter's beat on the song Stand Up was such a waste...could have been brought in at an amazing spot in an amazing song. Its not his style to play a catchy beat like that virtually unchanged for 4 minutes and 12 seconds (I am actually skeptical that this one is looped, I think Carter played the whole track).

anyways, end of rant
