Amen to that though. It would be a great guitar to have for solo gigs with the cutting sound it has. I would love it for that.

How bout no Scott? Unless you spend a couple grand on after market parts like Dave did, the Chet sucks ass. Especially for solo stuff, I would say in a band situation at the most.

Go to the band's main site and click on the ROAD section, then go to pics and they have tour show dates. Click on fenway and there's a bunch for both nights.

Its the best set of lyrics Dave has written in a long time. One of the problems I have with the later versions is that it is just a lot of incoherent screaming and mumbling.

"Tall Man
The shotgun in his hand
Like rainbows
Broken by the blast always
You take me before and I stumble like a dead man
Running on his last breath, rain rain
Like the first time
You played me like a fool
You make me wanna rain rain out
Why did you go
All the way inside my head and take away control
But I believed
Every word you said
Only to find it was all a lie baby
I screwed up, can't get back to where I've been
Rain on
Like the bitter evil came
The first time
I thought that I was in heaven
Heaven...
The first time
I thought that I was in
Heaven
Like the shotgun
Blew away my head
That's what it sounded like
Stumble like a nearly dead man
You...made me"

I don't think I'll ever hear a better song than The Stone

I wonder how much of those Shotgun lyrics were actually written down though.

Probably a good part of them. There is no way he could improvise that well for that long.

I love the end of Minarets on the encore CD for the "Best of What's Around" greatest hits album.

I love that part where he starts screaming whatever the hell he screams at the end.

Last Stop rocks on that album too, but there's a couple parts where Dave and the rest of the band aren't connecting. One part that sticks out in my head (I'm at work, i don't have the song in front of me) is there's a part where you can hear the band wanting to go into the part for the "This is the last stop ..." but dave doesn't say it or play it, he waits a couple beats later.

I dunno why but lately I kind of like listening to performances where thy're not exactly completely in-sync, makes me remember they're human.

Has anyone heard of the documentry Dave Matthews Band: Plugging the Gap? I'd never heard of it, but recently saw there is such a thing. Just wanted to know if it was a bunch of regergitated garbage, or if it was worth checking out. Peace

I feel that way with #41, I could listen to it all day long and
never get sick of it.

It's weird... I've found that for me at least, I enjoy listening to DMB and get more out of it when I'm feeling down or really pissed off.
