It is a good album. If it had SUAD, JTR and Monkey Man on it then it would be a great album. I wish Stephan Harris was producing the next one, he did such a good job with this and Some Devil that he deserved another one.Milligan wrote:Damn, i forgot how good Busted Stuff the album is. yeah I read it a couple weeks ago. Some new info but I knew alot of it already. The info on LWS was lacking aswell. I was most interested in the fan stories, and there is a whole book with Fan stories, I would love to check that outtaparoo wrote:I recently started reading Step Into The Light and I'm hooked. I really feel like an idiot for thinking that SU was going to be good. I went back and watched to the clips from the Stand Up site and all the warning sings were there and I chose to ignore them.
Batson: "My goal with Dave Matthews Band was to make an album that was different from any album they ever made."
Dave: "I'm just singing whatever comes to mind."
Dave: "The last thing it seems like is work..."
Boyd: "Where are taking ideas from each band member and then having Dave come in and write the lyrics, its something we have never done before."
Dave: "Its a very relaxed process, Boyd can come in and play a line and Mark will say lets just build a whole song around that. Its a real fast process."
Boyd: "Everyone experimented on this album."
Stefan: "Mark gave us some time, like a day to go and create."
Dave: "Carter got a chance to play in a real spare way on this record."
Dave: "We didn't work that much on any of the tunes."

that jam between Carter and Batson is amazing, I can't comprehend why that would not materialize into SOMETHING...anything, something that good has to be kept...I mean that was turned down compared to every song on SU.

Yeah he definitly should do another album. While some of the LWS session songs dont sound as great as the 2000 recordings, You Never Know sounds Godly. Imagine him doing another album with DMB written songs that we didn't have a pre-conceived notion of what they should sound like (i.e. the lillywhite session tracks)Nitro1515 wrote:It is a good album.
