Yeah, that's who many have suggested produce the band's next album. They are one in the same. Lanois has also produced U2 and Rolling Stones if I'm not mistaken...

Yeah he did mention his name at radio city. I think he just said something similar to "this song was written by...."

thank you, no shit. he talks about him when he plays his song, the maker. i was referring to why he would talk about him before "down by the river", a song by neil young that has no connection to daniel lanois

I think Alpine mis-spoke and really meant to say "The Maker". The only thing Dave said before DBTR was how Neil Young wrote the song, he's a great writer, beautiful human being, etc. Nothing about Lanois.

Nothing official from the band or anything, but this was first brought up a while back, before the tour even by some people so I think its pretty much a done deal now that even Ants has said it.

great stuff. Glad to hear it. Suppose its quite exciting the thought of them brnging in a top man. I know nothing about producers, how they work, etc but ive heard you guys talk highly about a few people, so hopefully we can really see some great music from the band again.

let the road crew produce it, make an album that is almost just a perfect live take, screw all the producers own stamp crap.

I've heard the suggestion made a few times, and I still agree with it. That's would be a really cool idea, to just have them play through it together in the studio, like they're doing a show.
