Yeah I started out when I was 12 playing bass, but basically I've started moving towards guitar, although i still play bass, I play guitar as much as I possibly can.

I've started getting more into bass recently though, so who knows. :-D

heh nice, my problem was that guitar seemed so easy compared to bass. And you could never just sit around and play bass solo, but you could easily sit around and play guitar by yourself.

Yea, because sometimes I play guitar at parties and stuff, you couldnt do that with a bass. Thats the only reason I learned guitar, is so I can play for friends, by myself, with out a band if I wanted to.

bass is the only instrument i play and i love it to death...i've been playing for 8 months.

my friends are guitarists, but i'm the biggest dmb fan of all of em. i wish they liked dmb as much as i do. i always play along with the LS and FF and the videos dvd. i think stefans parts are just so fun to play. they must be awesome to play on stage. its times like this i wish i was in a dmb cover band.

it's kinda like that here in NH, or at least in Concord. The punk scene is huge, but there are us rebels who enjoy funk and jamband kinda music. I wouldn't say the punk scene is overwhelming but it's the biggest thing around.
Yea, Im the rebel. The punk scene is big, but the thing that pisss me off is its only getting bigger. But then again I wouldnt want Dave Matthews Band or Phish or anything like that to be the new scene. Get what Im saying, Im kinda glad DMB and Phish or the cool thing for everybody. :)

bartender where are you from in CT...i live a lil south of hartford.

i hate the punk emo ska stuff too...it all sounds the same and its always four or five idiots jumping around onstage whining about their girlfriends.. i think bands that are completly about the music or their instruments are the best kind. like dmb and bela fleck & the flecktones.

Yeah I also play along with the DVD's, both on bass and guitar. I sure wish I had a violin player, a crazy drummer, and a saxophone player that would be willing to jam. Even Concord, NH has it's fair share of accoustic guitar players, so those aren't hard to find.

I just wish there was anyone in my school with an individual music taste...its either goth/metal, punk rawk, ska, emo or hip hop...and most of it is to fit in with the little cliques...

mm..well in my school most of the kids I hang out with are into punk, but it never stopped me from hanging out with them. There tastes are pretty individual, and they are always telling me about these really obscure bands they find. I find that all punk sounds the same, but they listen to other things as well. I have a problem with the rap clique that's engulfing my school at the current moment. Everyone wants to be "ghetto" and I think it's pretty retarded.

eh. i just moved to a new school, and so i don't know anyone. whoo!

ah well. i can stereotype 'em pretty well. rap, pop punk (yes, that's what i call it) are about it.

i hate it when the kids are speeding through the parking lot and they have their bass set on unprecedented levels and you can see their car shake. and it's not even wooten or jaco! roaaaar.

I live in West Haven, New haven County, to the southwest of the state. Its ezactly like that here. You hear bands and performers like, New Found Glory, Eminem, Justin Timberlake(yuck :x )...etc... coming from most of the "In" crowd. Im so happy Im not one of'em! :D
