(I might add some babe in the audience just offered to buy him a drink) I think the song is more about lust and sex than love. You come crash into me. And I come into you. I'm bare boned and crazy or you. Hike up your skirt a little more. Show your world to me. Thats what I mean by making perverted frat boy lust into a pretty song.
He said Crush was about the worship of women, not crash.

"And what can you say about Crush.. Crush is.. umm.. it's about the fun part of love. It's about worship of women."

Crash is about a guy who's obsessed with a girl. Some kind of peeping tom that has the cops called on him when he gets busted.

EDIT: Sorry.. My mistake.. He DOES say that it's about the worship of women for Crash as well. He then goes on to say that's it's "a bit of a crazy man song". So, Dave's a pimp that worships a lot of women.

Woah. I have Crush/storytellers and I had no Idea that the story after the song was about crush, because there is a seperate story from storytellers about crush(It is its own track) that I have also, where he says similar but different things. He says to the effect:

What can you say about Crush, Crush is about the fun part of love. Its about worship of women, a particular woman in my mind. (audience hoots) My girlfriend's head was just floating about me as I was writing the lyrics to that song. I was thinking: Who am I going to write this song about? Who can I picture? She said: "bloop---I'm right here. You best write this song about me, boy." (audience laughs) At least that's what I say.

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I have Storytellers on my computer. That's what he says right before Crush on Storytellers. He says, "At least that's what I say.. (laughs) I'm only kidding.. I had to ruin it with that. (then he sighs and goes into the song)" This is such a good version of Crush. He gets right into it and loves it.

I like the band version a little bit better but the storytellers version is good if you are learning the song.

8) I was there and it was GOOD. The crowd sucked and was very subdued.

Dreaming Tree was good...

That's the beauty of it. I don't think the song's creepy, just awesome, and fun 2 play 2. I don't see how so many people hate that song. It's one of my favorites.

There is a lot to like about crash, just as there is some things to hate about it. I respect those that don't like it. There is a lot to like about country music, which I hate, but there are a lot of people that like it, so I respect those who see he good in it.

S'all good.
