mmm.... Maybe not on these boards, but I think there are still a bunch of them. Maybe the hardcore fan has switched from the older generation into a newer generation, ie the Everday/SU crowd, but yea I dunno about that.Nitro1515 wrote:I heard that LT 7 and 8 didn't sell that well because they were more for the hardcore fan and now they are trying to go the mainstream route with these SU and cover filled shows. They need to realize that nobody but the diehard fan cares about these things and also that there really aren't that many diehard fans left anymore so they shouldnt be surprised when sales are poor.GSR wrote:I'd for one would just like to say what the fuck.
As for this Live Trax... mmmm, it's ok and I'll probably get it since torrents haven't been working well for me... but I'd take a pre-2004 show any day over current shows.

There is no doubt about that. But regardless when you count up all the people on the message boards there really isn't that many people as there used to be consistently posting about the band itself. You can use our board as a representative sample of that. Everyone posts in nDMB, not that many people post on the actually DMB related parts of the boards anymore.Grachi wrote:mmm.... DMB CREW NOTE ABOUT THE SHOWS
Not having played a show since October, DMB just pulled off a couple of amazing evenings in Vegas. Last night, Dave described a time many years ago when he worked in bar where many musicians performed on a small stage in the window. He prepared a tape of songs he'd written and passed it on to Carter and LeRoi, alluding to the forming of the band. The tape included the song I'll Back You Up, which the band proceeded to play for the first time in years. The shows here saw the return of some of the best cover tunes the band has played, including The Maker, Down By The River, Time Of The Season and Sweet Caroline. Dave also sang the lyrics to Lanois' Still Water over the intro to Don't Drink The Water. A very cool moment.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I ordered it too. I have some compulsion to have anything this band releases. Plus, song choices, guests, etc. aside, I just enjoy any live material I can get my hands on, especially professionally recorded/mixed. But I'm a dreamingtree junkie too.littlefriend420 wrote:I'm going to order it because I have all the Live Trax so far and I want to keep the streak alive. Plus, the cover looks cool.
