Do you dislike anything they have ever done?
its not that i say "hey they're my favorite band, everything they do is amazing" - so no, i don't love it all (see mother father, STDH), but if i had to guess (which is why i said probably) i'm going to like it
this was from a thread about stefan's myspace - still completely applies, i can't wait for this album no matter what

I'm pumped and overall optimistic b/c I think the band knows the last album was a failure. Dave mentioned he didnt like alot of what they did. I expect a better album, how much better? Thats totally up in the air.

Not to be picky, but Dave wrote the lyrics for Hunger; Stefan just came up with the main guitar riff. I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but I really don't see why Hunger gets as much derision and hatred as it does. Personally, I really enjoy the song, especially live. It has that aggressive energy that I like, and the lyrics are entertaining in their subtle sexual nature. I guess I like it becuase it is a faster, harder song that is very different from a lot of what else they've done. This brings me to my main point about SU in general. Outside of a couple songs (ODH mainly), SU was much better than Everyday. It was very different and that threw a lot of us off, but it grew on me after a few listens. Hearing the songs live also changed my opinion of them as well. Of course this is just my opinion, but I find myself occasionally listening to SU while I never listen to ED anymore. Ok, enough rambling for one post, my point kind of fizzled after I started writing. All in all SU and ED are not their best works, I think that we can all agree on that point.

Ahh, my mistake on the lyrics call, all though I will say that they aren't my favorite. I really think, though, that Dave wasn't writing the songs like he used too on SU. So here's hoping that everyone backs off a bit and lets the man work. Same for the rest of the band, none of them really seemed to be writing like they used too on SU.

So subtle you'd hardly know the song is about sex...

 I was just about to say what a ludicrous comment that was. Rapunzel is more of a subtle sexual song, Hunger is most definitely not.

I couldn't even understand what you were trying to say until three readings of it then realized you meant Hunger on the Great Light and I still am confused.
