Look at the credits for most of his songs.

Not Mayer.

Richard Marx.
I hope youre kidding.
And I hope you didnt take what he said on the John Mayer Show seriously.

Well then....I have nothing more to say.

Proudest monkey is in 6/8 which makes it a little more interesting. I'd rather listen to that than WAYG which is 4/4.

Yeah but im what im trying to say is, i dont think you can get worse on guitar especially if you play the amount Dave does. But maybe he just hasnt improved or hasnt lived up to potential in recent years - certainly on albums anywya, not particularly live,

well like the stand up album, dmb wanted to do something new, so maybe he just wanted change his style some, i dont think he could get worse at the guitar, he just lost what he used to have. in the old school songs today, esp after playing them so long, hes gotta be dead accurate. But if dave isnt good at soloing n shit, oh well, he could keep strumming to fatigue the best of them. does dave even like the blues enough to learn it?

We're getting a little off topic but the reasons why I hate John Mayer are totally juvenille and jealousy driven, I don't like his mug, his raccoon eyes, the facts that legions of 18 year old girls think he's so sexy and the fact that he can rip on acoustic and electic and I can only occassionly keep time on acoustic. LOL! Oh yeah, and I don't like his songs because they are catchy and popular.

I'll disagree with that one. His songwriting sucks compared to his ealrier acoustic days. I think Bigger than my Body was the only "good" catchy song he released since then. It's a shame because I was a huge fan in the early 2000's. Seeing him play solo with an acoustic was amazing.

Because he was indie back then. And halfway decent.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
