Call a spade a spade, they're hiring a tool and they're going to put out another toolbox album.
Hey, I guess after years of touring and the time spent on arranging beautiful music has taken it's toll and the guys are content with making a new album as quickly as possible with total disregard for quality.
Chill dude. This also cant all be blamed on Baston either. Why? Cause Everyday and Busted Stuff were pretty sucky too.
Ah chomp on your Wispa bar! j/k
Everyday was a big change, that's where the negative criticism entered, but it's a very good album, Busted Stuff needs no defense, it's a great album I recommend it without qualification.
I'm just a little cranky at the new direction they're going for, it just seems like they don't care or they DO care...about making $$$.

The band
can still write good music. Look at LWS and the '04 songs. Im gonna have to agree with C and drop a fat f bomb on DMB for being so retarded lately. I mean, ya..... the new songs are pretty good live, but who are you fooling, Stand Up
blows
Well put.

I really coul care less if they put out another shitty album because for the 1 time I listened to Stand Up, I could listen to BTCS 100 times and not get bored. Plus there are tons of live shows that keep my intrest going.

I just listened to Trouble With You and realised that the band can make good songs with Batson. I'm thinking that none of these good songs made the cut and were lost forever!

I want to be optimisitc, I really do, but I'm already worried for this album. And for the love of God don't let it come out before Summer 06. I want an old song DMB tour, not another album tour.

I think they said it will be out early 06.
But just because they are using Batson again, doesn't mean they will go through the exact same recording process. They tried something new for SU, and hopefully for this next album, while still using the same producer, they bring back some of the things everyone loves about DMB in the studio (pre 2000). They could deffinatly make a good album this time around.

Well that news just sucks. The next album he produces with the band will be complete dance mix. Carter has been replaced with beat boxes, maybe Dave won't even play the guitar. The entire melody can be done on keyboards...

I disagree fully. I predict the next album being very dark and more lyrically satisying. I predict this because i just cannot see them doing another upbeat bouncy album straight after SU. I predict quite a dark album like BTCS or LWS.

that might actually kick ass. Nas is probably the most lyrically gifted rapper ever, and it could sound cool.
