No need for speculation then, you've cleared things up quite nicely.

I know a lot of it has been explained already, but there's one term that hasn't been mentioned.

Dave once called himself a soul-searcher. So...

IMO, a soul searcher is somebody who doesn't look for religion, but more for peace and understanding. In other words, I don't think soul searchers look for a God, but they focus more on the natural things, like beauty and nature. Maybe it could also mean that if, for some reason, a religion just felt right, they wouldn't reject it.

I consider myself a soul searcher. I am at peace within myself right now. When I was going to church and praying, and HAVING faith with my entire heart, I was never at peace. And now, I am. But if I walked into a church someday and it felt right, I wouldn't reject it.

I once had a friend(religious) tell me that being agnostic is a real good way of pussing out of what life really is.

We are not friends anymore, i pretty much hate christians now.

Yeah, I came across a little snide, what I mean is, if Dave's said this then what's the point. I really could care less about his religious beliefs and these types of threads annoy me.

He's agnostic, let's just forget about it is what I'm trying to say.

Actually, Dave seems a lot more buddhist than agnostic. One of the core beliefs in buddhism is acceptance of yourself as you are and to live in the now, or "be present," as he said in his speech there. Dave has always kind of struck me as more buddhist than agnostic anyway, regardless of his "official" stance.

If you could care less and these threads annoy, then maybe just dont post or read them, its not hard. Not trying to be rude, but its not like whats daves favorite meal or something, its just a philosophical inquiry.

well, i'm a christian, but i dont care what dave's beliefs are because i dont like him for them, i like him for his music, and the band's music, and its the same with tim or any other band ever, i like the music, not so much the people, although dave and the band and tim seem like pretty cool guys
