Thanks guys, it's a pretty good song. It would be crazy if he broke it out at some random concert sometime.
that would be sweet.

Too bad he hates it.
Maybe not spotlight then, but it would be sweet if he broke out some really old, obscure song that only the fans who are willing to find that kind of stuff could apriciate.
hearing them bust out "Get In Line" would be awesome. DOnt think i'll ever see the day though.

and ya, Michael, you editted his quote to early, I believe he says, "you know people often scream for this one particular song that I havent played in years called spotlight, I havent played it for years, can I explain something? everyone has their own taste I think, and the reason that I don't play that particular song.... ....is cause I hate it. Its poopy, If it was a thing other than a song it would be a turd. And a very stinky one too. A summer time, hot summer time too much pizza beer turd. I'm just guessing that'd be bad, i dont know what that's like."

oh yes, i am bored at work.

I think it's The DKE House show, too, where he says something about how "part of this is a puke sing, and part of it isn't a puke song. So when I get to the pukey part everybody puke. But not on me." Something like that. Just typical Dave Matthews.
