for me the finalists were DMB and the red hot chili peppers. I am obsessed with that band. SUre, they've had their songs overplayed up the kazoo, but they are still good enough to endure.

Yeah I think thats how mine ended up too. 311 is my second favorite band and RHCP were the closest.

Ha this was mine too. I had to go with dmb though cause ive never seen red hot chili peppers live in person.

...nice to see Wilco with 2% over most of the other bands though...

Right? Hello! Ever heard of a little song called Yellow Ledbetter? Not on any studio releases, yet IMO the best song they've ever done. Just as well Granny and LWS should count.

If the chilis come to san diego, I'll definitely see them.

no, they aren't. 10 was pearl jam's plateau as a band, which is unfortunate, because it was an incredible album. vs. was ok, but everything after that was a big steaming turd, with a side of ball cheese.
I agree with you fully. But, actually, I do love vs. Awesome album.

DMB is way better.

No, Ten was good but Yield was better and that was their 5th album.
Riot Act, blows.. i'll agree to that and that is their only album which is sub par.
Since we're comparing the bands, DMB's last good album was BTCS which was like........7 years ago. Think about it. Thanks for playing.
BTCS wasn't their last good album. Busted Stuff was great. Everyday was average. I listen to both of them, love both of them. While UTTAD and Crash are my favorites of all DMB albums, I don't think BTCS was the last good album.

But that's my opinion. Which I think the majority disagrees with me, but what the hell, right?

i think if all of us hadnt heard LWS before busted stuff came out, most wouldnt have been dissapointed. awsome songs, but LWS just seemed to have better versions, more emotions comming out of dave and the band. BS seriously carries some awsome dmb material, no denying that...

I would have to say it's kinda close between PJ and DMB, and that's true about DMBs last good album being 7 years ago. But I have a bunch of PJ shows and even more DMB shows. PJ definitely has great music, but in my opinion DMB is better(Who would have thought?!!?). Especially when comparing performing. Dave really blows Vedder away when it comes to performing. And I needn't say anything about comparing the drummers, or even lead guitar when DMB tours with Tim. But PJ is definitley a great band.
