Also, I was a casual fan for awhile, and I got L@Chicago one day while looking for anything to buy with a gift certificate. As soon as I heard the last stop, and the reprise, the obsession started. Also, hearing wooten tear up 41 and the maker got me into the flecktones.
i used to be into pop punkish shit when blink was hot in like the 90s. yuck

There's another thread like this one. I have already explained myself, but...
Crash Into Me, WWYS, and Ants Marching.
Although I hadn't heard DMB in a while, I remembered them. I was watching this ice skating special and watched Kurt Browning skate to Crash Into Me. I was hooked. The first two songs I actually HEARD were WWYS and Ants, but I hated WWYS at first. Now I don't, but then I did.

I got Crash when I was 10 and I just liked "too much" and "so much to say." One time when I was probably 11 or 12, my older brother was taking me to visit my grandmother and he brought with him Live at Red Rocks. I remember thinking "how can we listen to this the whole way there." We listened L@RR and there was one song I really liked. I went home and discovered that the song was "Two Step" and that it was on my cd. That has been my favorite DMB song ever since.

LIOG...
When i was in 4th grade (maybe 5th) my older brother and sister were listening to crash in the car, and i really liked the songs. i didn't konw the names, but i knew the ones i liked. i remembered the song that had a lot of booming in the beginning (two step), i remember the intro to too much...and of course, track 9 (LIOG) which i listened to over and over again.

The entire L@LC CD. Specifically Jimi Thing to begin with.
