Shotgun kinda reminds me of ABI, but more thoughtout and polished.

I hope the post didn't sound too demanding. I think it was pretty light-hearted, if he doesn't take it too seriously.

So you know what I don't understand?

How could they come up with those 4 or 5 summer '04 songs, and play them EVERY night, without fail, and then totally scrap them?

Why didn't they play the '06 songs every night?

I think the reason why the '04 songs compliment the '06 songs so well is that, as far as I know, they're the result of the band working on their own, without a producer. The '04 songs were written before they had employed a producer, and I'm not sure how much influence Batson had, if any, on the writing of these '06 songs. They've got enough material between '04 and '06 to make a self-produced album, and I think it'd be amazing.

some good points, i dont understand either. 04' tunes plus 06 tunes, plus scrapped LWS tunes (SUAD and Monkey Man) would make a sweet cd

They actually come up with another song in '04 in the studio that we never got to hear live. And I completely agree that if they combined the '04 and '06 songs with one or two other unreleased tracks like JTR or SUAD it would be a kickass album

It'd be a fantastic album. I wish they could freaking see that.

even with the 5+ new tunes, there no garuntee what will be on the next album. As someone pointed out, everyone of the 04 songs were scraped. Solid LWS songs scraped. Even some tunes (melodies) we heard on the SU website didnt make the cut. Who knows about 06 tunes

The Reprise Outro on the Last Stop from Live Trax vol. 1 is a thing of beauty. Dave, Stefan, Carter, LeRoi, Boyd, Butch, Bela, and Tim perfectly compliment one perfectly, creating an inspiring and uplifting musical masterpiece that can never be mirrored or recreated. It is truly incredible.
