After I got over my preconceptions of Blue Eyes in regards to not being Sister and gave the song a chance, I really like it. Very deep song, imo.

Baby Blue, you mean?

And yeah, it's one of the album's best I think.

Right, I'm not sure why I was thinking Blue Eyes. But yeh, great song ...

This may be somewhere in the thread, but what do you think of Time Bomb, Evan?

I like Time Bomb, it was initially one of my favorite songs before others had grown on me. The problem I have with it (and really the whole album in general, save a select few) is that I don't really have any desire to keep listening to it. I don't crave to hear it at all. I find it, and the album, lacks longevity.

I agree. I haven't listened to it in weeks. But like the first 10 days of that was because of Mantis.

I agree with the last part of that. There's very few songs on the album that I find myself actually wanting to listen to. This is just another album where the band tried something new, and I commend them for that, but it seems like when they tried something new, they completely rid themselves of everything that made the band great to begin with.

I still find it strange that all four of the bonus tracks are all songs that you can clearly hear a prominent acoustic guitar (something that I have always thought set DMB apart from other rock groups). I listen to it, then to the album, and it almost seems like the band went out of their way to keep the acoustic off the album. When a song is played on acoustic, most of the time you can't hear it, or its just distorted electric.

The bonus tracks are far better than the album.

by this point, i've really gotten to know these songs, and I really like most all of this album

Dive In is the only one i don't like.

I'd put this album only after BTCS, Crash, and LWS, yeah that's right, i like it more than UTTAD. This album is good. It is lacking a lof of instrumentals and jams, but the songs are unique and have that 'to the point' feeling they were trying to achieve with the Everyday album....they just succeeded this time

While I understand opinions are not facts by any means, I don't see how Big Whiskey could be anywhere close to BTCS, Crash, or UTTAD, let alone better than any of them.
