Yeah, I've heard that too.
I know a band has to grow and move on and I can't fault them for that. But it's obvious how much better their older albums were so you'd think they could take at least the songwriting and recording process and replicate that yet change their musical style and create different sounding music then they did in the past. I mean, I like the new album but it's obvious it's no UTTAD/Crash/BTCS/BS

It all seems to go back to the rest of the band members not wanting to give up their two cents in the song writing. It's obvious, and has been stated a thousand times, that Dave is the only one in the band with any real lyrical talent. They should just write out the song together musically, but then let Dave go sit in a room somewhere and come up with lyrics by himself. The last album closely related to the band that I've loved every song on was Some Devil, which in itself just proves that when Dave gets to do things the way they used to be done, things tend to turn out well.jsgksu wrote:Yeah, I've heard that too.
