....thats Stevie Wonders song!

the god of everything. Stevie Wonder. And if I was going to have a bass off it would have to between:
Flea, Sting, Wooten, Claypool, Jaco (back from the dead)...Steffan is good but he simply wouldn't stand a chance. And those are only the popular great bassist, there are probably hundreds more amazing underground, under appreciated bass players.

I personally would shit myself. But I think Jaco would win, cause he's dead. And the man.

started when he was 16? i thought he joined dmb at 16... he must have been some sort of damn prodigy to stand up to carter at a relatively young age, with young talent.
also, geddy lee and whatsis name... tony levin, and scott thunes are good bassists.

Hmmm...could the reason be a practical one. Stefan is the only member of the band who plays with a fat ass stack of monitor amps behind him, sticking a mic in front of him with logically pick up a hell of alot of bass and very little voice.
Just waiting on the day he, carter and leroi slam out a couple of jazz standards....

The thing is...SteFan hates not being able to feel the music. And through IEM you hear everyone in the band, but you don't get the same feeling as playing through stage monitors. That's why he plays with a huge stack in back of him.

I just wanna know from a bass players point of view where Stefan stands in the Bass world. Also, I want Victor to win.

The Steffan question is good. Also, I don't think that there is a need to want Victor to win. I think it would just happen
