What's going on with Boyd?

Boyd seems pretty off and on to me. I heard a solo he did during Crush last year and it was incredible. He was so on, it was amazing. And then, in that same show, I heard a Pig solo. He was so off, it almost ruined the song.

One of the most awful moments in recorded DMB history was the end of the 4.20.02 30 minute #41. The flecktones are strutting their stuff, kicking ass, being amazing like they always are. Then Boyd plays a bit on the outro. I don't think he hit one note. It's just so sad.

every aspect of Boyd's technique is terrible. he doesn't even hold his bow the right way. he just hacks away like a madman concerning himself more with showmanship than what his hands are doing. he is by far the biggest problem with DMB.

lol...i noticed the thing about the bow too, thought maybe it was another way to do it.

He was certainly not on at the Woodlands, but thankfully they didn't let him solo very much.

They should let Butch take his place as an "official" member.
