That's the upside of a late tour. We can judge the album before we shell out the cash for a tour heavy with shitty songs, a la 2005.

This kinda sucks. I know about the baby, but it's still a little funky with it being an album tour. oh well.

i am just glad that everyone here is fine with it (aka not making a huge deal about it). I sometimes go over to ants to see what they have to say and the whole thread about the summer tour was...

-people complaining about the tour
-complaining about the idea of an album tour
-talking about how there entire summer is ruined -assuming everything
-making up "facts"
-people getting pissed

it's nice to be here and a part of this community where people aren't so damn annoying and idiotic.

On a side note, i am looking forward to this tour, even though it may be different than years past, it should still be a great time!!

I'm glad they are cutting back and starting the tour late. They could use a little break. I probably wasn't going to go to any shows this year anyway unless this new album is halfway decent.

Hell, Cincy is the closest they ever come to me, and I would be surprised if I didn't skip it. This album is going to have to blow me away; me and the band's new shit have no love-loss for one another.

Nice post. I agree completely. I'm growing to really dislike the uber fanatic scene. On a somewhat related note, I've decided that I'm just going to let information about the band come to me. I'm not going to be crazily seeking stuff out anymore. All the hype only leads to let downs.

A late tour for cincy would be good, if they were to keep it, the biggest problem I've there is that the concerts are in the middle of july and its 104 degrees, if the tour doesn't even start untill August that at least gives it some time to cool down.

Completely agree. There are far worse ways to spend 60-80 bucks and there's not many more places I'd rather be than a DMB show

It's a once in year deal to catch them when their around and even if they play a majority of the new album, there's always going to be a few rarities thrown in that make the night worth while. i've gone to shows that were better than others, but i've never walked out of a show thinking, "wow that sucked." i could see myself not buying another studio album, but i will always catch a show.

I don't want to be crazily seeking information out either, yes i like to be informed, but i'm not going to freak out if tour dates don't come right on Mar. 1st like the past two years. i will let info come to me (like you said) and wait to know whats going on, not sh*t a brick in my pants if tour dates come a month later.

I've seen some people on other boards actually basing their decision on whether or not to take summer classes because of tour dates.
