Fancy upping that? i have a version but its not dated, its 5mins 29 secs longDMBassist52 wrote:id bring my iPod, make them listen to crazy/easy from 6.26.04, and have them record it with those lyrics
my thoughts: get rid of batson, who's clearly in it just so he can get on the writing credits of songs he knows are gonna sell. That's what i believe is behind the discarding of the 04 songs.

-Take their time making the album, they have some songs that were road tested, and could make great tracks. However, they need to take their time to fully establish the new songs. You can't possibly make a good album in as little time as they used to create Stand Up.
-Go back to Dave doing a majority of at least writing the base of the songs.
-Bring Timmy into the studio and have him take the same approach as BTCS, Crash, and UTTAD (Doubling up the guitar, leads, etc...)
-Have guests (Robert Randolph might make a pretty good guest, Bela, Greg Howard, Rashawn, etc...)
-Fire Batson, you can criticize him for a host of things but what it really boils down to is that he cant get the best out of the band
-Suggestions for Producers: Lillywhite would never happen again unfortunately. I honestly wouldnt mind Harris again, but give him a shot with a fresh batch of dmb songs and his work on Some Devil was phenomenal i thought. Lanois is also a really good idea, but there has to be some reason the band hasnt went after him.

dont bother with a producer, just let the live sound enginers do the mixing. play and hear all the guys,
i love the DMB live sound, so just recreate that.
