You can just hit EDIT on that other post and add a " after cave_cricket , so it would really look like :

Code: Select all

[quote="cave_cricket"]
That should fix it :)

I was talking with my friend the other day and I had a hunch that maybe Dave would put stuff like Gravedigger and Loving Wings on the album. I mean each tour Dave has a new solo song. I was thinking that he would put some of those on the new album. Just a thought.

stay or leave better be on it, I love that song.

The title is a neat little twist. :) I'm looking forward to it regardless; it will be interesting to see what he does "on his own".

yea, who cares about the title, the album will be great. what i think will be great about him being solo is that you'll be better able to hear his guitar work. in some songs hes just droned out. songs such as grey street, BOWA, you really have to listen for the guitar

i'm psyiched about this album, read a lil about it and from what i've heard from dave in the past solo the sound is going to be good, and from what i know of this "creativity" dave has, well... i don't know.....:-p
it's going to be great, i can feel it in my bones... either that or my test anxiety is still flowing from the exam i had an hour ago... oh well i'm just babbling on now so i'll quit while i'm ahead, or a little behind, whatever works

Saw this over on Am I Dreaming:

Dave Solo Album Slated For Sept. 23rd Release
Updated By Noel on May 7th, 2003 at 11:55PM
A representative from RCA Records has confirmed with AmIDreaming.org that Dave's solo album will be released in stores nationwide on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003. We have no official information on the tracklisting for the album, but we did get confirmation that Gravedigger will indeed be the first single to hit the airwaves prior to the album's release date. Many fans were wondering if RCA would push back the release date of this album to help bring more attention to Boyd Tinsley's new solo debut, True Reflections, scheduled for public sale on June 17th. Stay tuned for more official information on the upcoming solo album right here at AmIDreaming.org!

Just thought Id give a heads up. I cant believe Gravedigger is the first solo song, I mean I love the song but I didnt think it was to radio friendly and something that would appeal to people that already didnt love DMB before hearing it. Maybe Im wrong though, anyways heres looking forward to 9/23/03.

Whoa, that's kinda crazy that "Gravedigger" is the first single, I love that song. I really hope "Stay or Leave" is on there, that would be sweet.

I'm pysched for some devil. Dave hasn't released a big block of new material since everyday now, and everyday was pretty much a bust.

I love stay or leave..I learned to play that as soon as this site had the tabs up. I really wish I had gotten to a D and T show to see them play it. Maybe next tour.

:) I'm excited about Dave's solo release but it also worries me.
Lately it seems to be the trend to go solo from a band but not to return to the band later. I was wondering if any of you think the same. God forbid if they break up but Dave could go solo with Tim and tour forever. Peace

I don't know how contracts work thoroughly, but I guess their current contract is almost up. I read somewhere that with a new contract Butch Taylor may join the band officially. As far as solo stuff goes, I really hope Leroi does something solo, like just an instrumental record....that I would buy.
