i think a greatest hits cd is a good idea. it will attract a younger generation of fans by showing them the good stuff (i.e. not stand up).

though i think using live songs on a greatest hits is kinda akward. studio cuts should work just fine

i like the fact that they're using live songs. they're a live band, and my point is weak but i'm sure you know what i mean

But seriously, not too many bands that I have heard of release a greatest hits album while they are still together. What if songs on the next album become great?

I hate the idea of this. A greatest hits album will pretty much be all of their singles on one cd. bullshit.

I agree, if there gonna make a greatests hits cd then they are probably gonna put all the singles on it. So how much space, between all the singles, are they gonna leave?(sorry i had to use that)

I guess we could all vote and change that

Yeah...

I just tried to select the songs I'd show someone to convince him or her that DMB is awesome! :)

yeah, no way are they going to fit the 10 songs I put on there live.

I'm not sure what to make of this, I'm debating trying to squeeze in another show this tour (4 already been to) just in case they are breaking up soon.....not that i actually think that, but You Never Know (haha)

good opportunity for the band to find out what songs the fans really like. Maybe they will realise a lot - not everyone, dont want to hear Stand UP songs.

As for breaking up, wont be for at least another year, Dave has already confirmed they are coming over to the UK next year.
Ricky Bobby: 98% of people will die sometime in their lives.

Yes, however the average meathead douche or 15 year old pantywetter does not have the resources or capacity to vote for a rockin' live version of any song. So they vote for Crash Into Me, Space Between, Hunger, and Stand Up (For It), all while leaving the date thing blank.
