I don't know if anyone picked up on this, but her favorite song was Everyday.....which, by the way, so many of DMB fans shruged off as a crap song (although it has gained popularity in the last year or 2 now that it has kind of been combined with #36). But for someone that has been through hell like this girl has, Everyday is a very spiritual song.....and personally I feel Dave was thinking when he heard it was her favorite song, "Yes!, she really understands what I writing about!" No wonder he spent over a half hour with her.

Sorry for my run-on sentences.

'Everyday' certainly has a message, one that speaks to me personally, and I'd imagine it would have a huge impact on someone that has gone through everything this girl has.

good good stuff. dave is a good man, a good man indeed.

And the comment about celebs always doing this stuff, like they can't say no, is not true.

My mom has a friend who works at a hospital as a nurse, and there was a girl who was suffering from cancer at the hospital she works at and she had gotten to make a wish (not sure if it was the same company or not). So she wished for Lance Armstrong to come visit her because he inspired her, since lance himself obviously had cancer and look at him now. So Lance talks to her on the phone and says that he was going to come and see her the next day and she was ecstatic. A week goes by, no Lance, she is devestated at this point. He calls her room again and apologizes for not coming, and she tells him "your not my hero anymore" and hangs up  . True story. My moms friend was appalled and after me and my mom heard the story I'll tell you we weren't such big Lance fans anymore.

It's ok if he wasn't able to see her, but he told her that he was coming. Then he never did.

Celebs can definately be douches

I can def imagine celebs saying no. not to be dicks or anything but im sure a lot of them have insanley busy schedules, so when the likes of Dave does do it, its really cool.

this doesnt have anything to do with dave. I was reading the kevin smith speaks book( basically him just talking about a bunch of nothing). He talked about Ben Affleck and having met Ben I know what he said was true. But Ben will go to children's hospitals without anyone knowing just to chear up sick kids. When he was at the Savannah Film Festival he was talking with everyone there and he was invited to an after party but declined and said that he had some people to see at Memorial Hospital. It has a big nursing home for Mentally Ill people of all ages. And Kevin Smith said that Ben doesnt like drawing attention to himself whenever he does stuff like that because he thinks its wrong to do good things and brag about it.

He talked to my sister. She was at the supplies store and he was walking around and didnt know how to get where he wanted to go(forgot where). My sister just happened to be there and he asked the cashier and my sister ended up walking him there. It was just down a block or two, but that would be pretty cool.

Cool article. If I had a half an hour to spend with Dave Matthews, I would have to leave 2 minutes into it after realizing I pissed my pants.

i never said dave bragged. I was trying to say how its cool when famous people do nice things just because they want to be nice and not after publicity. Dave isnt after publicity and neither is Ben and there are alot of other celebrities that feel the same way.
