yeah im a little iffy on it too, maybe its because i prefer dave with the acoustic, ive never liked him on electric.

Ya thats what i think after the first listen. It has a new element to it but at the same time goes out with an old school bang, it is weird... I like it, not bad but not as kick ass as Idea of You. Good stuff.

I thought the very same thing. The verse didn't do much for me. I liked the seek up-ish chorus. (I know they sound nothing alike, but there is a hopeful quality to this chorus).

To sum up: "eh"

Give me just the chorus repeated a few times. I'll be content with that. The band turns me away with those verses.

i think its pretty cool, really different, i need to listen to it a few times to get a full picture of what is going on. this song sounds like it has a lot of space to grow. im glad they are road testing it.

I'm doing some EQ work on it and stuff as we speak so if you guys want to stick around I'll have an EQed and shortened version without dave speaking at the beginning and stuff in about 30 minutes or so...

it started...heard him start singing...and i thought "fuck, this song blows"

but then i liked the chorus. its just that main verse and guitar riff aren't doing it for me. i don't know how much they could do to it to make it better...but for now i'm gonna igve this song a thumbs down.

Maybe cuz i'm only the first time throught the song, but .... HORRIBLE!!! don't like one aspect of it

EDIT: just listened again . . . it didn't get any better, and I don't think that it has anything to do with the electric ... I am a big fan of dave on a few electric songs, the ones he and the band can fuckin rock out, such as "What You Are". But this just doesn't seem to have much of anything. yes they can salvage it but come on! this is not a good song as of yet.

but i felt like the chorus was NOT part of the song...its way too good for the rest of the song. i like its sound, and feel. but the rest of it blows way too hard.

Here you guys go, I cleaned it up and did some EQ stuff and faded it in and out so its just the song and you don't have to skip ahead and all that shit. There is a big difference sound wise but I think you guys will like this one so give it a go.

yeh i just added a tiny edit on what i originally wrote ... but still , i don't even find the chorus anything to marvel at. Yes, it does have a sort of potential, but maybe i've been spoiled with the progress of sister/ayhee/idea of you, etc. But then again i may be the first one to admit that i was wrong further down the road if they rearrange it. Always gotta have an open mind i guess!
