Isn't it about time Butch became officially part of DMB?

i haven't seen that once. the not going to add more people thing. in fact, the rumblings a couple years back were that he was going to be added to the band when they re-signed their contract, although he ended up not going through with it.
I heard that in a video interview. Can't remember where. Carson Daly maybe? They said they were so tight it was hard for them to officially add another member, even though Butch contributes a lot.
I have heard that as well

I like Butch and what he adds to the band while playing live. He certainly does not take away from the band while performing, only enhances the music.

I have always known Butch to "know his place" in the band. I have never heard him showboat, ride over other players, or make the band sound worse.

Do you have a certain recording where Butch doesn't know his place? Otherwise, I completely disagree with you.

Seriously. Butch is great. He makes the band sound a lot better.

Peter GREISSSERRR! I thought Peter was awesome. The old school Two Step salsa jams on the keyboard were awesome. Definitely enjoyed Peter's work more. That Van Ryper's DVD is awesome with Peter on there.

I really like Butch's solos, even when they slow down the beat of the song.

Butch in Central is what got me hooked. The thing I do not like is him playing lead over Dave. I like to hear the acoustic.

i was always a huge fan of dmb, but what got me hardcore and into trading was butch's playing on Two Step from listener supported.

Pete Griesar is a talented composer of hook laden pop songs. The guy's got a gift. Superfastgo was very good in my opinion and this cat can definitely play the keys very well.

I've heard the very Two Step jam you're talking about. It's not bad at all :)

So you are saying Butch overstepped his boundarys as a touring member of the band and imposed on the songs?

DMB improvises a lot less than you think. I'm willing to bet that Butch's parts, for the most part are rehearsed and everyone knows what he's going to do and for how long.
