I was in the field - like when in the middle left side (as seen from the stage) We missed the first two tunes cause we're in line for beers

The Warehouse followed by a 20 odd minute two step was unreal. What an amazing concert !! yeah, I heard the concert the night before wasn't as good. Not as good a setlist and whatnot. The sound was so much better than the Foxboro Stadium concert I was at in 2000. Those are the only Dave concerts I've been to......so far

I was in the lawn in the middle. Or as the guy from spearhead said, "the smoking grass section!" As for those beer lines, I said no way to those $7-8 beers. I drank my fill in the free parking lot!
Which Foxboro Concert did you got to? Saturday or Sunday? 7-8-00 or 7-9-00? Or better yet, Sunday was the day it rained. I went to the Sunday show it was the best set list I have ever seen live!

7-09.
yeah it rained but I didn't care. Once I heard the opening to Warehouse I couldn't feel the rain anymore. We had pretty bad seats - lower bowl but far back. That was a great set list - they played a lot from Crash which is my favorite album all around. The Lie on Our Graves was sick as shit.

Yeah, LIOG almost made me cry. Sorry you had shitty seats. My girl and I had pretty good ones up close so it was absolutely cool. The rain didn't even matter once they came out and played.
I thought they were going to cancel at first but then Dave came out and was like "do ya'll think we won't play in this" or something! Then Warehouse to open, I knew that it was going to be a special show. I mean they played Watchtower like 10th or something!
later

we drove from Nova Scotia, Canada - 6 of us rented a car and made the 15 or so hour Road Trip down. Quite the experience to say the least - it was the first Dave Concert for all of us and we're all big fans. The Encore with Grey Street and Two Step almost made me cry. damn those guys

Holy shit, and I thought my 2 hour drive from Connecticut to Foxboro was long. Wow, that's dedication.
Every year my friends and I ( about 8 of us ) rent a Uhaul and load all our tailgating supplies in it and just party for two days. It's cool but after a while I get sick of dealing with all the "little boys and girsl" who seem to to just do everything in their power to act like 3 year olds. But other than that the shows are just great. I have been to 5 including the foxboro and the two at the meadows this summer. But I will say that your first concert and mine (foxboro) was the best one of the bunch. I am actually getting the concert from a guy in texas who has it on cd. If the quality is good when I get it I will b & p it for you! I will let you know!
Peace
Tom

I haven't heard the Folsum Field CD yet. I will pick it up next week when the Farm Aid DVD comes out (Starwars and the Lord of the Rings Special Edition as well). I don't want to make like 30 trips to best buy . . . lol.
I know you must think that I am nuts, a new DMB cd has come out and I don't have it yet!!! But I am waiting till next week cause I am trying to play all the DMB songs on the guitar and I figure hearing dave by himself will help me get the rythms down pretty good.
Have you heard it? I am sure it's good.
Talk to you soon,
Tom

lol Yeah might as well make one trip out of it for those DVD/CD's. My friend bought the Folsolm DVD the other day and called me up and told me to get my ass over there and watch it

I loved it, they're trashing the shit out it on other DMB message boards but I don't see how they can do that. The #36/Everyday blend was Sweet ! Watchtower was awesome, it was all really good - although there was a lot of Everyday on it.
yeah hearing Dave by himself is the best way to get that rhythm in your head. Trying to learn every Dave song is fun eh? you're always busy and never bored

Never bored at all playing Dave. My fiance works nights so when I get home from work I have nothing to do but play. So I have been downloading as many concerts as I can and just listen try to play along. This site is the best! I have been able to go from not being able to play at all in January to being able to play many of the songs, some better than others.
Everyday was an "OK" in that some of the songs are pretty good, but much of it reminds me of Matchbox 20...

Nothing against MB20, but they are the typical band of the 90's 00's while DMB is, well DMB!!!
I heard the DVD is very jumpy is that true? Also can you see dave's fingers at all or do they not stay on one picture for any length?
Peace,
Tom

they switch cameral angles a lot, maybe too much but you can see Dave's fingers quite a bit. Yeah, I think I know what you mean by Jumpy those "I did It, What You Are, So Right, " tunes are, what one guy that watched it with me, were kinda hollow, loud and active, but just lacked something. But I have to admit - "If I had it all" is a great song and fun to play on the acoustic.
This site is the best. When I started playing Dave, I used tabs that were, well wrong, but were enough to get my hand in shape and at least get me used to the tunes. Finding this site was like finding gold.

hey tgun, where in Mass are you? I go to Berklee C. of Music in Boston.
I've been playing dave for three years now, actually I started with this site when it was in its original format. that got my feet wet, and just when I was getting a feel the site was no more... I was like a little lost boy, but now, I'm home again!!!! and I even have a bit of my own tabbing to submit if he ever get's that working.

Seen Dave 6 times, I can play most of his songs, at least the ones im interested in. And of course its fun to pick out the songs before he starts playing them. I can pick out almost song if you were to play the first chord. My girlfriend thinks im a freak, she tells me its not fair cause she wants to guess it before I do. And anyone and everyone has got to make it to the Gorge at George, WA when ever Dave plays there, I dont know about 3 years ago and beyond and what is going on in the future. but Its a definate way to see dave 3 times and each show is different every time. At least the two years ive gone. And PS, Dave told us at the last concert that because hes taking a break for so long that hes gonna Give us a special treat when he comes back. Because that was the "Last Stop" So make it a must to get your tickets and Ill see you up front when he comes back. I guarantee you, I wont miss it.
She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this light it could change everything about her. I know why you're here Dave.
