Alot of farts dont like zeppelin and hhendrix.
and we hate ashlee simpson and aaron carter.
And some people HATE pachelbel, vivaldi and mozart.
Some people HATE bela fleck.
But whatever, its human nature, if we all agreed on everything things would get boring.
the people who HATE dmb dont know what their missing, the best you can do if you are a friend is to show them something that they might think is impressive, other than that, just sit back and listen to some dmb and sing "people stare (dmb haters) ,and we (dmb lovers) just ignore them, just ignore..."

i dont think the general public doesnt listen to music is hear how impressive it is. most dont even think of music when they listen to music. It's rediculous, but as musicians, we of course have differente reference than "common" people. its all frames of reference.

frat guys, or fraternaty brothers is a thing big in america, where you pay a lot of extra money a year in college to live in a house with other guys that paid to do so. theyre greek organizions technically... i dont knock them, but id never join one...

they call DMB a frat band because back when they were starting and had moved out of the c-ville venues of coffee houses and such, they played frat houses all over the country. mostly in virginia and that area, and the southeast united states...

i dont get how thats something to make fun of, those are great venues... lots of guys in a fraternaty, and frat parties are huge on college campuses so you get a large portion of a universities population at a show.

yeah im not knocking frats, just seems i want to know that i started a friendship based on the fact we both paid to get into an organisation. but frat boys are alright.

A LOT of music critiques (i.e. the world's Paula Abduls and Simon Cowells) knock Dave (amongst others) for singing in falsettos. I have heard that to be a common complaint along with some people claiming Dave's voice is annoying. I think the general consensus amongst DMB haters is that their music is "gay." I mean, why would have anything in a band except electric guitars with really heavy distortion? Just Kidding. Music like that isn't my cup of tea but people hate what they don't understand, and music as complex as that from the Dave Matthews Band frightens people. BTW, sorry man but its ok to pay no respect to Slipknot. They have no musical talent IMO. Sorry if anyone here likes Slipknot.

It's easy for people to label a band and then write them off without even checking out or understanding their music. It's pretty dumb but that's just the way people are. Even if I don't like a band, I will still give them respect for playing their own music, writing their own stuff, and playing instruments.

that's the same thing that came into my head. AS much as I think Ashlee simpson is a complete cum dumpster, She makes fuckign milliomns of girls happy. Who am I to really hate on that for them. Don't get me wrong, I will at all oppotrunities humiliate someone who likes ashlee, so I understand that some people just can't hold back on hating dave. It's just not their cup of tea, and they like me, find joy in bashing others.
