My friend has a cottage in Sandusky, OH on the causeway to Cedar Point (Worlds best amusement park) that we go to all the time during the summer, and a handful of times during the fall/winter.

sometimes I feel you just never know who to believe anymore.

sam - ever heard of samael?

I love that name sam, it's neato -

again thanks for the company on this lonely evening.
yeah well, i was a little joking about the news thing, but not too much: whenever i think my life sucks i just turn on the news for 10 minutes, see how terrible it could really be(suicide bombings, murders, rape, tsunami, tornado, famine, car accidents....list goes on forever) it really puts things in perspective like "ok dude it doesnt matter that this girl wont go out with you" etc. and sam is a cool name, thank you.
Dude, I do the same thing. I hate sweating small stuff, excuse the pun. But I can't stand digging myself in a rut because of stupid things when kids are struggling to find enough to eat around then world

There are many things that I do to gain perspective.

One of them is going to a theatre at night (high school/community), all alone, and going up onto the stage and just... being there. I'm a dancer/actress/singer. Haha. It's wonderful for me to feel so secluded in something that I cherrish.

Another thing is going to Lake Eerie in the summer and being alone. I've only done it once, but it is an amazing experience. It was during the day. It was so beautiful, and I could hear the people on the boats that were ffaarr out in the water. It was breezy, and cool... Perfection.

Listening to music, playing my saxaphone, learning the guitar, writing, taking long walks alone in the fall, sitting alone on the football field after band practice in the summer...

you guys I am so psyched to see alot of outdoor enthusiasts and I hear you about finding time to be creative. last night I was like man, pottery, singing - guitar, poetry all with a glass of wine or pet my dog for awhile cause I've been working hard to make ends meet. thank you for bringing that up, cause that, my friend, is reality.

I wake up in the am and take my dog to the beach that's a great outlet.

I will def. check out those news stations you all suggested.

sounds relaxing, sounds like a nice place to be. I'm content. I should stop or I'll write on and on.

dreams of kenya.

check it out you guys, it's a collage I did. for my escape from reality, kind of meditative in a way for me.

My friends cottage is ON LAKE ERIE!!! Where abouts did you go? I have lived no more than a mile from Lake Erie my whole life. I have a really cool picture (from my cell phone so quality is shitty) of the sun peaking over the lake at sunrise. That was one of the coolest moments of my life.

The biggest cog that keeps my creative wheels from turning is having to work a real job and pay my bills. What time is left over is left to performing, creating, etc.
yea, when you get paid to play music, you have a lot more time to be creative, because its your only job, when you have to occupy 40-50 hours of your week with work and about 40-50 with sleep, than 10-15 hours doing other stuff, you really dont have much time left for reality and being creative
I really can't tell if you're being sarcastic or if you are agreeing with me :?
no i was agreeing, it sucks we dont have more time to just live, fuck clocks haha

We went to Cedar Point. I mean, my family and me. We had a lot of fun. That's the best amusement park I have ever been to, BTW.

We went driving around in Sandusky and found this lighthouse about an hour, maybe, outside of Sandusky. We went to the lighthouse, and my mom, dad, and brother went inside the museum-thingy. I went to the lake and just... sat.

It's a small world, BTW. I met this woman there whose son goes to ASU in JOnesboro, AR. I live in Corning, which is about an hour away. She said he had friends in Corning. And the woman lived in New York, I think. It's nothing amazing, it was just... neat, I guess.

Thats crazy... my friends cottage is on Cedar Point Rd. I live about an hour east of Sandusky so you might have been in my old hometown, Bay Village.
